As Thraim’s body laid coldly on the ground the members of DOOM decided to rest and have a relaxing meal inside the x ghosts head quarters. Sly cast a Leomunds Tiny Hut to help protect the party as they rested. Kerreth, swooped out a first level spell and was able to each a pearl to identify the ring found in the potato lair. Gasps of amazement discovered that it was a ring of multiple wishes, five to be exact. Cheers and cries of great merriment were heard throughout the undermountain. Magnanimously, Sir Lanceabit, took his one true wish and wished for the revival of Thraim the most dead. As luck would have it he was only mostly dead and woke up with a start saying “True Blathe?” and looking confused. A variety of items were returned to him some of faces looking a bit sheepish. Amazingly, his pouch of gems and coins remained missing, obviously taken by a “ghost”.
Reginald not wanting to be left out borrowed the ring and stated that he wished for his “smartz” to be returned. In a puff of smoke his wish came true the statue from the Chaos pit that stole his wisdom and intelligence appeared. The green crystalline statute moved to attack. Reginald immediately multiplied himself as others moved assist this soon to be splattered gnome. Sir Lanceabit hacking effectively, Thraim missed. Sly and Kerreth cast magic missiles with no effect. It missed even the smallest of the Reginald illusions. Cyric seeing the value of the crystal immediately attacked saying “see it is in my best interest”. Thraim enlarged as Sir Lanceabit, Cyric and even Sly stabbed and slashed this statue into pieces. Kerreth stood back and said “ahhh, and ooohhh”. As the statue crumbled into dust, Reginald began to feel more wise and intelligent again. Best of all a large portion of very valuable green crystal was left lying on the ground. Uncut it might have been worth 20,000gp, even more when the gems get cut up. Great joy for everyone.
Jealously again emerged from Cyric, as he too wanted his soul returned (with associated gems from the golem). Casting Recitation he wished for his soul to be returned and in a puff of chaotic smoke, a statue of a 5’2" perfect warrior with a two handed sword appeared. Unfortunately, as Sir Lanceabit, Thraim and Cyric attacked all their weapons bounced off the emerald skin of the statue. A collective “opps” emerged from the DOOM as they discovered that no weapon they had would work. Fortunately, after a massive spell casting effort from Sly, Kerreth and Reginald proved that magic could hurt it once it passed it’s magic resistance. As the fight progressed, Sir Lanceabit stood infront of Cyric and started to attempt to parry the attacks of the sword. More magic was cast, even Cyric slightly wounding it with two Cause moderate wounds. All the mage spells were used up as Kerreth also decided to attack with the hateful sword of Eddard. Amazingly, after a long period of time and exchanging of the Girdle from Thraim Kerreth managed to stab it and destroy the statue. Again a large pile of gems was discovered. Cyric started to cry and shake as his soul was returned. With absolute agreement, no more wishes were used and DOOM rested inside the tiny hut dome. Cyric cried and sobbed all night, even offering to heal those who helped return his soul, exclaiming “Those who help me shall be healed”. Annoyingly he also assumed his lordly title High Priest Cyric of MASK lord of shadows. Kerreth experimented with the first part of the 7-part rod and inadvertantly healed Thraim.
In the “morning” of the Undermountain (with the soft light of the hut) DOOM progressed through the tunnels. A room of stairs into discovered a Xorn who wanted to eat their metals. Thraim threw his portable bowling ball smashing it as magic missiles began to strike it from the mages. It slumped dead at the feat of Sir Lanceabit, who didn’t even wave his sword. A magical scroll of Protection from Undead was discovered inside a scroll case in the ash.
More corridors and doors were investigated looking for the way down, drawn on by the rod shard from Kerreth. Some ten goblins waited and surprised the party firing a large portion of arrows wounding Thraim and missing Sir Lanceabit. Vindictively, Thraim slew all ten with a summoned Cloud kill down the corridor cast from Typus the mace.
