The Adventure continued passed the non-corporeal non-existent bodies of the elemental and shadow. A an ogre lair was discovered with all the typical finesse of an experience body of adventurers, with some elven legs stuck in a barrel. These were taken by Reginald the most unwise to save of sausage meat at his tavern. Leaving Sir Lanceabit and Thraim to investigate the rest of the room. The remain members of DOOM hid at the side of the walls and failed to hear the ogres coming.
Two Ogres burst into the room. Sir Lanceabit just smiled and causally strode over the pair of hulking monstrosities, cutting one to pieces in round one. Thraim enlarged, more out of boredom than any true desire. The rest hid. The next round the remaining ogre was cut to pieces by Sir Lanceabit as Thraim arrived too late to miss. More searching of the Ogres and the room revealed very little treasure (some platinum bars) and fleas inside their bedding. Cyric raised the ogre bodies as zombies.
Strolling down the passage, passed some piles of bones revealed another sand filled corridor with some serpent mosaics in three places. The obvious trap was revealed as the zombie ogres staggered down the corridor only to be bitten by a large (15’) skeleton snake, emerging from the mosaic. DOOM literally staggered into action as Sir Lanceabit and Thraim stood by one mosaic ready to bash the creature if it emerged. Kerreth stood behind the fighter types. Cyric hid behind the zombie ogres. Reginald transformed into a bat (why?) and Sly the invisible one hung back. As is typical the creature emerged only to be bashed by Sir Lanceabit and received a critical from Thraim, however as it shimmied back to the next mosaic it bit Thraim. He as all dwarves do, shrugged off the poison and carried on (Save or Die). DOOM then split off to cover the creatures possible appearance routes and waited. Sure enough it emerged in front of Sir Lanceabit who broke it into very little pieces. Reginald the bat flew down the snake tunnels to discover no treasure.
The room with the black and white pattern on the floor was checked for traps by a find traps spell cast by Thraim, revealing a lethal room of traps. Kerreth climbed along the wall searching for secret doors but found nothing.
The steam entranceway room was then investigated with it’s unsafe stairs. Cyric using his unholy power managed to view through the steam a grinning skeleton at the end of cavern across the boiling mud and unsafe looking mud splattered stepping stones. Sly cast fly on Sir Lanceabit who accompanied a climbing Cyric, Gargoyle shaped Kerreth and Reginald the Bat. Thraim found the walls too slippery to climb. The skeleton was nothing but a skeleton held together by wire, but had magical braces on and a 50gp circlet. Everything was stolen and a search revealed no secret doors. DOOM joined Thraim at the entranceway who couldn’t see anything.
The next room to be investigated by DOOM was the reverse of a secret door it contained an oily black water. Thraim the giant entered carrying Kerreth, only to be attacked by a leech swarm. Thraim quickly climbed out having some of his blood sucked as Cyric set the oil and Thraim on fire with a thrown magical fire. The Leeches turned black and fell off Thraim. Further investigation of the water showed that the leeches were still in the pool, causing Kerreth to lightning bolt the water frying all the leeches. A door was opened by Thraim who didn’t fall over or catch on fire again. The room traps were sprung and a little treasure was found.
After examining the map (and the genius of Thraim’s underground navigation) caused an extensive search of possible secret doors locations discovered in the corridor of bones a concealed door and a dead elven adventurer. He was looted for all treasure with a ring and several potions, before Kerreth set off another fire trapped explosion. Very little damage the inquisitive party, except for injured pride. More searching revealed the missing secret door to a cistern and dangerous staircase. A Troll emerged out of the cistern and began to climb at the party. It was shot to pieces by magic missiles from Sly (Now visible), Kerreth and surprisingly Reginald, before callapsing into apparent death at Sir Lanceabits feet and tumbling dead (or semi dead) back into the cistern.
DOOM exited out of the spiralling narrow staircase to a larder and began to lay bread crumbs to attract Mr Troll.
